Changes on the Wellsway and Bear Flat

As part of the Somer Valley Links Project, several changes are proposed along the A367 Wellsway and a Public Consultation underway. The proposed changes include the removal of the two-lanes driving south on the Wellsway in order to create a two-way cycle lane, as well as extending the current bus lanes.

What does this mean?

• A further reduction in the number of parking spaces along Wellsway, which is already very limited.
• Increased congestion and journey times due to a loss of one of the carriageways.

We are concerned about the negative impact this may have on our patients visiting the Practice.
